"I've stopped reading the newspapers."

 

That was what Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld had to say last week in reference to the stories coming out of Abu Ghraib Prison.

Now I don't know about y'all, but I find the Secretary's comments (as well as his demeanor) .... how can I delicately put this? ... fucking chilling. I mean it wasn't bad enough when we (read the long-suffering 'Murican peoples) had ONE moral imbecile, namely Mister Bush the Lesser, publicly claiming a disdain for the written word? Now we've got TWO?

Then I read the lead article on Sunday's SmirkingChimp.com, and the Secretary's behavior became quite clear. I mean, what the hell, NOBODY wants to hear their name mentioned in association with WAR CRIMES..... And make no mistake about it, that is EXACTLY what Mr. Rumsfeld is being accused of in the media, as it is alleged that HE personally gave the ORDER to SEXUALLY HUMILIATE IRAQI POW'S.

Now, images of torture and sexual degradation don't shock the 'Murican public one little bit. Quite the contrary, the masses have developed a taste for just this sort of thing, and it fuels a billion-dollar, world-wide Porn Industry. But the caveat has always been that 'Murican's (with the odd exception) prefer their Porn to be of the "Consensual" variety (No Harm-No Foul, so to speak). Perhaps this is a psychological extension of our Puritan Past, or perhaps it is something else.... Our deep-seated need to ALWAYS be on "The Side of Right"

But today, my friends, we find ourselves NOT on the side of WHAT IS RIGHT, but on the side of WHAT IS EXPEDIENT FOR THE CHENEY/HALLIBURTON/CARLYLE GROUP .

Over the course of the last three years, our beloved country has been hijacked by CORPORATE MINIONS. This administration is loyal NOT to the Constitution and the RULE OF LAW, but to the ULTRA-WEALTHY and their AGENDA.

...And their agenda is in direct opposition to What's Good for America.

Make no mistake about it folks, the gang currently running our Ship of State aground care not one whit for "Liberty and Justice for all." They have individually and collectively shat upon the Constitution more times than anyone can count. And each day they continue to cling to Power through threats, lies and cover-ups, America's once-proud name is further besmirched.

In just three years time this grotesque gaggle of chickenhawks has stretched the U.S Military (as well as the NATIONAL GUARD!) to the breaking point. Our sons and daughters, sisters, brothers, mothers and fathers are currently deployed from Fallujeh to Bogota, and ALL in the name of OIL & CORPORATE PROFITS.....

But the scariest part of ALL THIS is the fact Mr. Bush BELIEVES HE IS GOD'S MESSENGER, AND GOD'S MESSENGER CAN'T MAKE MISTAKES!

........Oh Lord, hear my prayer:
Please Save me from Those who claim to be Your Followers.

George the Lesser has personally pissed off ONE BILLION MUSLIMS, and he continues to be the poster boy for Jihaadists worldwide. The rest of the civilized world looks upon the U.S. with equal parts of contempt and fear, and THAT has made US LESS SAFE TODAY then at any time in our history.

So what are WE gonna do?

First, we're gonna vote these criminals out of office in November. Then we're gonna launch a series of investigations that will make Nuremberg pale by comparison. Then, with any luck at all, Mssrs. Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rove, Wolfowitz, Perle, et al will be convicted of CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY, and then spend the rest of their unnatural lives in some hell-hole like Abu Ghraib (or even Los Angeles County Metro Detention Center for that matter!).

Now that would be Poetic Justice!
