A coupla questions:

1. Why is Fallujah invariably prefaced with the adjective, "the RESTIVE town (or city) of..."? What's that about?

And while we're on the subject of overused descriptors, how about...

2. Why is Moqtada Sadr consistently described on TV and in print as, "The young FIREBRAND Shi'ite Cleric?

I mean what the fuck? Is ANYONE involved in American Media capable of producing a single original thought?..... or is it just me?

And another thing:

I think Usama is into NUMEROLOGY.
Al Qa'ida struck the US on 9/11, and Spain on 3/11....... Whadda ya think the odds are that something chilling will occur on 6/11/04?

A prediction:

In a move to prevent future revelations such as those curently emanating from ABU GHRAIB, Military personnel in Iraq will be surrendering their personal STILL AND VIDEO CAMERAS. You can take THAT ONE to the bank!

 

BEING ALL THEY CAN BE

Najaf is a Holy city to untold millions of Shi'ite Muslims. The current assault being carried out by so-called "Coalition Forces" in a bid to "capture or kill" Moqtada Sadr, may very well be the spark that ignites the entire country, perhaps the entire region. The assault coming as it does, in the immediate aftermath of the Abu Ghraib revelations, can only serve to further inflame an incensed and insulted citizenry.

...............but as far as the PRISON TORTURE SCANDAL is concerned, Mr. Bush isn't at all worried. He plans to appease the damaged Iraqi National Psyche by parading a gaggle of low-level grunts in a public show trial. The Kangaroos-In-Charge will summarily find ALL of the accused guilty, thus proving to the Iraqis once and for all that 'Muricans are Peace-loving, God-fearin' people who cherish the RULE OF LAW. The scapeGoats will be publicly slaughtered, barbecued and consumed, and all will be forgiven! Can I hear an Amen?

....And if that don't do the trick, then I guess old Rummy's gonna have to fall on his sword (repeatedly, if necessary).
