6/3/04....So, Mr. Bush thinks he might need the services of a "private attorney" in the not-so-distant future... Something regarding a Grand Jury Investigation (one of a growing number involving this administration) into the outing of CIA undercover operative, Valerie Plame. Apparently Mr. Bush didn't think White House Chief Counsel Alberto "The Geneva Conventions don't apply to us" Gonzalez was up to this particular task, what with it involving Mr. Bush's Personal Backside and all...So what advice do ya suppose Mr. Bush got for his $800 in downtown DC?.... FOUR WORDS AT $200 A WORD........ "I'll take the Fifth!"And Mr. Cheney is back in the news again, and no, not for being videotaped biting the heads off of bats (Sorry, folks. The website showing the purported video was scrubbed by the CIA). Apparently TIME obtained an EMAIL that definitively linked Mr. Cheney and the "NO-BID CONTRACTS" awarded to HALLIBURTON.I mean really, does this actually surprise anyone?Conflicts of Interest and WAR PROFITEERING to the tune of tens of billions of TAXPAYER'S DOLLARS are the very LEAST OF THIS ADMINISTRATION'S MANY SINS.The bush2 administration has set a new standard for corruption and criminality. ....If the American People are lucky, they won't see another four years this destructive for at least another two centuries. |
