Distract and Destruct

 

Alberto "Gonzo" Gonzales, AKA "Torture Boy" is Murka's Attorney General.

John "Pardon my non-Lubricated Anal Penetration" Bolton is ambassador to the UN.

Donald "Hoods and Electrodes" Rumsfeld is Secretary of "Defense".

Condoliza "The Mushroom Clouds are comin'" Rice is Secretary of State.

And now, the newest insult to critical injury, Right-Wing Corporate Hack Attorney, John Roberts has been selected by Illustrious Leader to replace Sandra Day-O'Connor on the Supreme Court.

I believe the appropriate phrase is:
"We're Fucked."

Mr. Bush extended a single-digit salute to Congress when he gave John Bolton a Recess appointment as ambassador to the UN. You can rest assured Mr. Bush is more than capable of bypassing Congress on THIS appointment as well, if he doesn't get his way.

And as repugnant as Gonzales, Rice and Bolton are, they'll ALL be gone in a couple of years (at most). Unfortunately the same cannot be said of John Roberts, if he is confirmed. Motherfucker's only fifty years old, which means he could be legislating from the Bench for the next FOUR DECADES (this assuming America is still around in forty years.... which is a rather egotistical assumption)

....He may be a COLOSSAL PRICK, but at least Mr. Bush is consistent. He can always be counted on to do WHAT'S RIGHT for his pals, despite the outcome for those of the lower socio-economic classes (READ: EVERYBODY else).

And he's ever-so consistent in his stubborn refusal to TAKE RESPONSIBILITY for his actions; actions that have killed and maimed tens-of-thousands of HUMAN BEINGS.
