ASLEEP AT THE SWITCH
PART DEUX:

 

As civilization unravels in the mean streets of New Orleans, and points further East and North, George W. Bush can once again be found asleep at the Switch.

For days, America watched Katrina grow into a Monster Cat. 5 storm encompassing most of the Gulf of Mexico. 'Twas the biggest, baddest clump of Red RADAR anybody, anywhere had EVER seen. It didn't take a rocket scientist to predict major devastation in and around New Orleans.

It would have been extremely helpful had Mr. Bush taken some time away from his biking and speechifyin' to, oh, I don't know, maybe HELP EVACUATE ALL THOSE PEOPLE IN HARM'S WAY. Buses and Military transport could and should have been deployed. This Human Tragedy could have been averted, or if not averted, minimized.

But no. That just isn't George W. Bush's style, and this isn't an Election Year. GeeDubya's been busy "gettin' on with his life" and trying desperately to prop up his cluster-fuck of an invasion/occupation.

I got some news for you, George. Folks are on to you. They're starting to see you for what you are: A Total Incompetent, or more colloquially, a FUCK-UP.

George, you fucked up when you IGNORED a "Red Light" Warning in early August, 2001, stating "Bin Laden Determined To Strike Within US". We KNOW what transpired a mere six weeks later!

You IGNORED Cindy Sheehan, and what did it get you? Poll numbers in the 30's and Antiwar Forces rising up against YOU, and in support of Cindy. Fucked up again, George.

Now you've IGNORED HURRICANE KATRINA, the most destructive Natural Disaster to strike America EVER. Apparently you think it's more important to give speeches on aircraft carriers.

Methinks your Advisors have other things on their minds, or psychoactive substances in their bloodstreams, or perhaps both.

Karl Rove thinks Hurricane Katrina is going to be both of your Salvation. But once again, Karl is sadly mistaken.

You really can't fool ALL the people, All the time, Karl.

And Georgie, no matter how much money and influence you wield, the ONE law you and your treasonous pals won't be able to evade is Karma.

And anybody who knows anything, knows Karma is a bitch.
