There's been a
lot of discussion about Darwin's Theory of Evolution recently, its
scientific merits, as well as its applicability to the curriculum
in American schools. It has been nearly eight decades since the
Scopes Monkey Trial, and still the "debate" goes on. Faith
versus Science.
There are those
among us who would turn their backs on All of Science to "Prove"
the strength of their Faith. I say to those folks: Go right ahead.
It's fine with me. Live and let live. Do unto others....... etc.
But don't try to
force me to accept your Faith. I'm not at all interested in listening
to your rap. Been there, done that. If your faith gives you comfort,
that's really terrific. But please, keep it to yourself.
Personally, y'all
creep me out Big-Time. But then again, I'm a big fan of Charles
Darwin.
Evolution is all
about ADAPTABILITY. It's not "The strong survive", but
rather "The strong and smart survive." Darwin noted that
all the species, other than Man, had "Natural Enemies"
that kept the population in check. Man's "Natural Enemy"
is Man. Man makes War against Man, and the population is thinned.
How can you argue
with Darwin?
....Because if
you accept Darwin's simple logic, then a lot of the stuff you've
been readin' in your Bible needs to be re-interpreted. And THAT
shakes your fragile Faith. So you make the volitional choice to
IGNORE.
Religion is the
TRANCE of IGNORING
The IGNORING TRANCE
IGNORANCE
I figure, in the
end, Darwin will take care of y'all. Just like the dinosaurs
