Soon-to-be-ex- Secretary of State Colin Powell appears to be auditioning for his next gig: Co-Anchoring The Daily Show with Jon Stewart .

At least that was the impression I was left with after hearing the Secretary's comments regarding the very recent election ....in The Ukraine. For the record, Mr. Powell stated he didn't consider the Ukrainian election fair and balanced.......er "legitimate", and he cited reports of fraud and abuse.

-Now if you can't appreciate the humor here, intentional or otherwise, you really oughta talk to your Doctor about bumping the Xanex dosage up a wee bit.

-Now, I don't know if the comments were Colin's idea of "jocularity" or not, but I'd sure like to think so.

-Perhaps Mr. Powell resigned because he KNOWS the truth about the theft of the 2004 election, and can't stomach the thought of continuing further. Treason is Treason, after all. And one must never forget, the Good Secretary took an Oath as an Officer, "to protect America against ALL enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC." And no matter what you may personally think about Mr. Powell, he is, if nothing else, the living definition of A Good Soldier.

-And then again, maybe I'm just being optimistic.
