10/3/05"THE GREATEST STRATEGIC DISASTER IN US HISTORY"
So spoke (recently) retired Lieutenant General William Odom regarding the invasion/occupation of Iraq. (Story) I hope General Odom doesn't have a spouse, son or daughter working undercover for the CIA.politics, humor. photography_______________________________________________
A RiddlePOLLING conducted last year indicated that fully two-thirds of Americans rejected the use of torture under any circumstance. Logically this leads one to assume that fully one-third of Americans think the use of torture is acceptable, under some (any?) circumstances.Other polls have indicated a similar one-third of Americans will continue to rabidly support George W. Bush, regardless of his actions. How many of y'all out there think this is merely a coincidence?
______________________________________A QuestionIs the Bush administration attempting to ignite a Race War?That would certainly help explain their leisurely response to Hurricane Katrina, as well as recent comments from the HUD Secretary regarding New Orleans' re-population.It would also shed some light on the administration's tepid response to the blatantly racist comments issued from Ex Drug-Czar and Degenerate Gambler, Bill Bennett. Stop Crime-Abort A Black BabyDivide and Conquer is what the Bushists do best. They create division by instilling fear. Then they exploit the collective ignorance of the American Electorate through Media manipulation, smoke and mirrors. Black people are natural born criminals. Just look at 'em looting Plasma TV's! But as more and more Americans become aware that Mr. Bush's policies are having a negative impact ON THEM, the poll numbers continue their downward trend. And this puts the Bushists in danger. The solution is to create a distraction. Whether the distraction is another country (Syria, Iran) bombed or invaded, or some concocted crisis in the "Homeland" sufficient to warrant a declaration of Martial Law, remains to be seen. The one thing that remains a certainty is the Bushists will PULL SOMETHING BIG soon. The Fitzgerald investigation is winding down and the smell of indictments is in the air. Perhaps our 5-Year National Nightmare is drawing to a close. Either that, or things are about to get a whole lot uglier. |
